BWFCST Progress Update

We have held a very successful informal meeting with Supporters’ Direct this morning to discuss the setting up of a Supporters’ Trust for BWFC.

Lots of work needs to be done and this isn’t something that can happen overnight. We want to make sure that any Supporters Trust is established properly, openly and is inclusive to all BWFC supporters.

Any BWFCST must be sustainable and part of the long term future of our football club. It must not just be a reaction to the current difficulties the club is facing. This is why we are working with, and being advised by, Supporters Direct to make sure this is done correctly.

We are now in the process of arranging an open launch meeting where Supporters Direct will present to supporters the concept of a Trust. At this meeting it will be proposed to formally set up a trust, and we hope supporters will give a mandate to proceed.

If there is a mandate to proceed from this meeting we will then need people to come forward with skills and experience who can commit some of their time to help in setting up the Trust.

When we have a date and venue set with Supporters Direct we will advertise it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, if anyone is interested in helping the working group please get in touch with us through our website here.

Hi, I would love to be involved in supporting the trust. I live in Bolton and have experience running my own businesses and believe I may have skills that may help.
    Best wishes
