It’s Official: Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust Is Now Legally Registered
Monday is always the worst day of the week, but we’ve got something to brighten yours. Drumroll please…
We are delighted to announce that, on 15th January 2016, Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust received it’s Certificate of Registration from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Issue of the Certificate confirms the registration of the Trust as a Community Benefit Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014.
The registration process required to establish the BWFCST has now been successfully completed and BWFCST is now in a position to operate as a legally recognised body and conduct business in line with “Model Rules For A Supporters Community Mutual (2014 Version)” as prepared on behalf of BWFCST by Supporters Direct.
BWFCST would like to place on record a big thank you to Supporters Direct for all the help, advice and encouragement received over recent weeks. Also, a big thank you goes to the FCA for their speedy processing of our registration application.
And last, but not least, a massive thank-you to the most important people in this process, the Bolton Wanderers fans. The passion, support and encouragement shown firstly at the open meeting on 6th January 2016, followed by the overwhelming number of membership pledges received over the last week (currently standing at 3,825, at the time of writing) has demonstrated the place of their Club in BWFC fans’ hearts. This is your Trust and we will work on your behalf to explore all possible avenues in securing a stable and sustainable future for Bolton Wanderers FC.
Stand up for the Wanderers!
